AJ2010 Scarf Design Competition
This competition is to come up with an exciting, appealing and applicable design for the Jamboree Scarf.
The competition is open to all Registered Scouting Members who are between the age of 6 to 18.
The competition closes November 30, 2008 and the best 5 designs will be selected by the Executive Committee and submitted to the January 2009 JOC Meeting for the selection of the best 3 designs.
The designs must have:
- the Southern Cross appearing on it
- reflect the “Test Your Limits” theme
- elate in some way to the Universe.
The winner will receive a free Jamboree Application Fee ($840), The Runner Up will receive a free Contingent Fee along with Transport fee to a maximum of $500 and third place will receive a Jamboree Shirt regardless if they are attending or not. All entrants will receive a badge recognising their efforts. Lets promote this to our Youth Members as their creative talent always amazes me.

Jamboree Activities
Jamboree activities are a mixture of on-site and off-site activities that seek to challenge the participants, reinforce Scouting values, provide valuable and new experiences, and most of all, be great fun.
Activities for the 2007 Australian Scout Jamboree included:-
- Circus Skills
- Bush tracking and navigation
- Canoes, rafts and swimming
- Go-Karting
- Plenty of mud activities
