Eligibility for a Scout to attend the Jamboree is as follows
- Be invested as a Scout and must not have attained the age of 15 years on or before the 4th January 2010.
- The Scout has completed the Pioneer Badge prior to the 30th September 2009.
- Have spent ten nights under canvas as a Scout including 3 nights consecutively. (Eight of the nights must be with their Patrol or Troop – where camping includes construction of a campsite, cooking and what is generally covered under the Campcraft Pioneer Badge)
- Be recommended by the Scout Leader.
As you can see we have not nominated a lower Scout age to attend as long as they comply with the above.
Eligibility for a Venturer Scout to attend the Jamboree is as follows (Also known as Junior Service Leaders) - refer to Newsflash 4 for updated eligibility
- Registered Member of a Venturer Unit and be 16 years of age on the 4th January 2010.
- Must be recommended as suitable by their Venturer Leader.
Eligibility for a Leader (All Sections) / Rovers and other Adults to attend the Jamboree is as follows
- All Adults (Including Rovers) that attend must be members of the Movement and holder of a Suitability Card as issued by the Commission of Young Children.
- All Leaders (from any Section) and Rovers that attend the Jamboree must be part of the Queensland Contingent. You may be in Troop lines or someone working on the various displays and Activities throughout the Jamboree site the rules remains the same.
- Queensland will not have Day Workers.
- All will pay the full Contingent fee.
- Adult support Members can also attend. Adult support members will not camp in Troop lines and will be allocated roles outside of the Troop lines
Please note: All Application forms must be signed by the Section Leader/Group Leader and District or Region Commissioner. Where stated Region Commissioner (RC) if your Group is part of a District the District Commissioner will sign instead of the RC.

Jamboree Activities
Jamboree activities are a mixture of on-site and off-site activities that seek to challenge the participants, reinforce Scouting values, provide valuable and new experiences, and most of all, be great fun.
Activities for the 2007 Australian Scout Jamboree included:-
- Circus Skills
- Bush tracking and navigation
- Canoes, rafts and swimming
- Go-Karting
- Plenty of mud activities
